Service finder
Find and check a service provider
Choose the work and the place, then open local search results. This finder links to external search and official business-checking resources. Cockatoo does not maintain a verified directory of the businesses returned.
Check the business before booking
Compare the trading name, contact details and business registration. An active ABN does not by itself establish competence, insurance or a trade licence. Where the work is regulated, confirm the relevant licence and its scope with the issuing authority. The ACCC business-checking guide explains the distinction.
Compare the work, not just the price
Give each provider the same brief. Ask what is included, what is excluded, whether the price includes tax and how additional work will be approved. Keep the scope and price in writing, and verify any changed payment instructions using a trusted contact method.
