What to include in your carpentry brief

Measurements, drawings and the work you want completed.
Materials, grade, finish and who will supply them.
Access, preparation, demolition and waste removal.
Hardware, delivery and any equipment hire.
Painting, finishing or other trades excluded from the quote.
Site inspections, applicable approvals and completion timing.

How the calculation works

Each line is quantity multiplied by unit price, rounded to cents. The subtotal is the sum of the lines; the optional tax percentage is applied once to that subtotal. For labour, enter hours and the quoted hourly rate. For a materials allowance or fixed-price quote, enter quantity 1 and the total before tax.
