Cost planning
Social media marketing cost planner
Social media marketing quotes can combine strategy, content production, account management and paid advertising. Separate those components so you can see what is included and which costs are paid directly to an advertising platform.
Build a scope that can be priced
- Name the platforms, audiences and campaign period.
- Specify the number and format of posts or creative assets.
- Agree on approval, revision and community-management boundaries.
- Separate management fees from the media budget.
- Record ownership and access arrangements for accounts and assets.
- Ask which results will be reported and how they are measured.
- Avoid treating a promised lead or sales figure as a guaranteed result.
Compare quotes on the same basis
Give each provider the same brief and ask for included work, exclusions, tax and likely extra charges in writing. Confirm whether you have received an estimate or a firm quote, how changes will be approved and what happens if site conditions differ. A cheaper headline amount may cover less work.
The WA Consumer Protection guide to estimates, quotes and deposits explains the distinction. Check business identity and any relevant licence before engaging a provider.
Keep a record
Save the agreed brief, quote, schedule and any written changes. Keep an allowance for work not yet priced separate from the accepted supplier amount. This planner does not calculate a market average, decide which approvals apply or guarantee that an allowance will cover the final bill.
