Bundaberg is a city in Queensland, Australia. It is located on the Burnett River, about 385 kilometres (239 mi) north of the state capital, Brisbane. The city is the major centre within the broader Wide Bay–Burnett geographical region. Bundaberg is renowned for its namesake export, Bundaberg Rum, and is also well known for its ginger beer, the Bundaberg Brewed Drinks range, and the Bundaberg Sugar Refinery. The city is an important tourism gateway for inland national parks and the southern Great Barrier Reef. The city services a regional area of over 100,000 people, and is the administrative centre of the Bundaberg Region.
