How to request profile deletion on Cockatoo
This page explains the public deletion process for Cockatoo account holders, including the information that may be deleted, reviewed, or retained.
Request steps
- 1. Identify the email address linked to the Cockatoo profile you want removed so the team can verify account ownership.
- 2. Send the request through the support or contact path you already use with Cockatoo, or reply from the email address attached to the profile so the request can be matched to the right account.
- 3. State whether the request applies to a consumer profile, a provider profile, or both. If you have a public provider page, include that URL as well.
If you are still signed in, checking the account on the web first can help confirm whether the request should apply to a consumer profile, provider workspace, or both.
Data we delete
- Profile details stored against your Cockatoo account, including names, phone numbers, saved communication preferences, and profile metadata.
- Consumer-profile records and saved preference data tied to your user account.
- Provider-profile content, service-area configuration, public profile copy, and other marketplace-facing profile fields tied directly to your organisation profile.
- Notifications, draft state, and other account-linked records that are no longer required to operate the active service once the request is processed.
Data we review for removal or depersonalisation
- Lead, quote, and marketplace activity tied to your account is reviewed as part of deletion handling and is removed or depersonalised where it is not required for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, or dispute-handling obligations.
Data we may keep
- Invoices, billing, payout, tax, or accounting records that Cockatoo must keep to meet legal or financial-reporting obligations.
- Security, fraud-prevention, abuse-monitoring, and audit records needed to protect the platform and investigate misuse.
- Records tied to unresolved disputes, chargebacks, legal claims, or regulatory requirements.
- De-identified or aggregate reporting that no longer identifies you personally.
Retention period for kept data
- Where records must be retained, Cockatoo keeps them only for as long as reasonably necessary to satisfy legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.
- If the request affects a public provider profile, the public page is removed from the live marketplace as part of the deletion workflow or as soon as practical after verification.
