Grovedale is a suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is located approximately 8km south-west of the Geelong central business district. At the 2016 census, Grovedale had a population of 11,845.
Grovedale is a residential suburb with a small commercial centre located on the corner of Torquay Road and Surf Coast Highway. The suburb is bounded by the Barwon River to the north, the Surf Coast Highway to the south, the Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road to the east and the Geelong-Ballarat Road to the west.
The suburb is home to a number of schools, including Grovedale Primary School, Grovedale College, St. Joseph’s Primary School and St. Joseph’s College. Grovedale is also home to a number of parks and reserves, including the Grovedale Recreation Reserve, the Grovedale Wetlands and the Grovedale Arboretum.
The suburb is serviced by a number of bus routes, including the Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road bus route and the Geelong-Ballarat Road bus route. The nearest train station is South Geelong station, located approximately 4km away.
