Newman, Paul (1925–2008) was an American actor, director, and philanthropist. He was one of the most popular and acclaimed actors of his generation, and won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1986 film The Color of Money. He was also known for his philanthropic work, founding the Newman’s Own food company and donating the proceeds to charity.
