Mitcham is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located 20km east of Melbourne’s Central Business District. It is part of the City of Whitehorse local government area. The suburb is known for its large parklands, including the Mitcham Memorial Gardens, and its shopping strip along Whitehorse Road. It is also home to a number of schools, including Mitcham Primary School, Mitcham Girls’ Secondary College, and Mitcham Boys’ Secondary College. The suburb is well connected to the rest of Melbourne, with a number of bus routes and train lines running through the area.
