Birkdale is a suburb of the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is located in the northern part of the city, between the suburbs of Arundel and Paradise Point. The suburb is home to a number of parks, reserves, and recreational facilities, including the popular Birkdale Fair Shopping Centre. The area is also home to a number of schools, including the Birkdale State School and the St. Stephen’s College. The suburb is well connected to the rest of the city, with easy access to the M1 motorway and the Gold Coast Airport.
