North Parramatta is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, located in the City of Parramatta. It is located about 25 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Parramatta. The suburb is bounded by the Parramatta River to the north, the M4 motorway to the east, the Cumberland Highway to the south and the Great Western Highway to the west. North Parramatta is home to a number of historic sites, including the Old Government House, the Female Factory and the Parramatta Park. The suburb is also home to a number of educational institutions, including the University of Western Sydney, the Australian Catholic University and the University of Technology Sydney.
