Lalor is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located 22km north-west of Melbourne’s Central Business District, in the local government area of the City of Wyndham. It is a residential suburb with a population of 8,945 at the 2016 Census.
The suburb is named after Peter Lalor, leader of the Eureka Rebellion in 1854. The suburb is home to the Eureka Stadium, a sports and entertainment venue. The suburb is also home to the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park, which commemorates the Eureka Rebellion. The suburb is also home to the Lalor Shopping Centre, which includes a Coles supermarket, a Kmart, and a variety of other stores.
