Doonside is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, located in the City of Blacktown, in the state of New South Wales. It is located approximately 40 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Blacktown City Council. Doonside is a residential suburb, with a population of approximately 8,000 people. The suburb is home to a number of parks, reserves and sporting facilities, including Doonside Park, Doonside Reserve, Doonside Oval and Doonside Soccer Club. The suburb is also home to a number of schools, including Doonside Public School, Doonside Technology High School and Doonside Christian School. Doonside is serviced by a number of bus routes, and is close to the M7 Motorway, providing easy access to the city and other suburbs.
