Carrum Downs is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located 37km south-east of Melbourne’s Central Business District, in the local government area of the City of Frankston. At the 2016 Census, Carrum Downs had a population of 17,945.
Carrum Downs is a residential suburb, with a small industrial area in the north-east. It is bounded by the EastLink freeway to the north, the Frankston Freeway to the east, the Mornington Peninsula Freeway to the south, and the Patterson River to the west.
The suburb is home to a number of parks and reserves, including the Carrum Downs Regional Park, which is a popular spot for walking, cycling and picnicking. The suburb also has a number of sporting facilities, including the Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve, which is home to the Carrum Downs Football Club, and the Carrum Downs Tennis Club.
The suburb is serviced by a number of bus routes, as well as the Frankston railway line, which runs through the suburb. The nearest train station is Carrum Station, located on the Frankston line.
