Macquarie Fields is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 40 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Campbelltown and is part of the Macarthur region.

The suburb is named after the Macquarie Fields estate, which was established in 1810 by the colonial government. The estate was named after Governor Lachlan Macquarie, who was the Governor of New South Wales from 1810 to 1821.

The suburb is mainly residential, with some commercial and industrial areas. It is home to a number of parks and reserves, including Macquarie Fields Park, which is a large open space with a playground, picnic areas and walking tracks.

The suburb is serviced by Macquarie Fields railway station, which is on the Airport, Inner West & South Line of the Sydney Trains network. The station is located on the corner of Macquarie Fields Road and Macquarie Street.

The suburb is also home to Macquarie Fields High School, which is a public high school that caters for students from Years 7 to 12. The school was established in 1965 and has a current enrolment
