Auburn is a city in King County, Washington, United States. It is located between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma. The population was 70,180 at the 2010 United States Census. Auburn is currently the 15th largest city in the state of Washington. Auburn is bordered by the cities of Federal Way, Pacific, and Algona to the west, Sumner to the south, Kent to the east, and unincorporated King County to the north. The Muckleshoot Indian Reservation is located in or near the southern city limits. Auburn is currently home to a number of major employers, including Boeing, Amazon, PACCAR, and the Auburn School District. The city also hosts a number of annual events, including the Auburn Good Ol’ Days Festival, the Auburn Farmers Market, and the Auburn International Film Festival.
