Brighton East is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 11 km south-east of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Bayside. At the 2016 Census, Brighton East had a population of 8,945.
Brighton East is a residential suburb, with a mix of detached houses and apartments. It is bordered by North Road to the north, Nepean Highway to the east, South Road to the south and Dendy Street to the west. The suburb is home to a number of parks and reserves, including Dendy Park, which is located on the corner of Dendy Street and Nepean Highway.
