Port Lincoln is a city on the lower Eyre Peninsula in the Australian state of South Australia. It is situated on the shore of Boston Bay, which opens eastward into Spencer Gulf. It is the largest city in the West Coast region, and is located approximately 280km as the crow flies from the State’s capital city of Adelaide. The city is known as the “Seafood Capital of Australia” due to the vast amount of seafood harvested in the area. The city is also home to a large tuna fishing fleet, and is the largest tuna fishing port in the Southern Hemisphere. The city is also home to a large number of tourist attractions, including the Port Lincoln National Park, the Port Lincoln Aquatic Centre, and the Port Lincoln Yacht Club. The city is also home to a number of wineries, and is a popular destination for wine tasting.
