Traralgon is a city located in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. It is the largest and most populous city in the region, with a population of over 25,000 people. The city is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Melbourne and is the administrative centre of the Latrobe City local government area. Traralgon is a major service centre for the surrounding agricultural and timber industries, and is also the home of the Latrobe Valley’s major power generation facilities. The city is well known for its vibrant arts and culture scene, with a range of galleries, museums, theatres and other attractions. The city also hosts a number of annual festivals and events, including the Traralgon Jazz Festival and the Traralgon Show.
