Thornbury is a town in South Gloucestershire, England. It is located on the River Frome, about 8 miles (13 km) north of Bristol. The town has a population of around 11,000 people and is the largest settlement in South Gloucestershire. It is a popular commuter town for Bristol and the surrounding area, and is home to a number of small businesses. The town centre is home to a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, as well as a weekly market. There are also a number of parks and open spaces in the area, including Thornbury Park and the nearby Tytherington Country Park. The town is served by a number of bus routes, and is close to the M4 and M5 motorways.
