Gawler is a town in South Australia located about 40 kilometres north of Adelaide. It is the administrative centre of the Gawler Council and the largest town in the Barossa Valley. The town was founded in 1839 and is named after the second Governor of South Australia, George Gawler. The town is known for its historic buildings, parks, gardens, and wineries. It is also home to a number of festivals and events throughout the year, including the Gawler Show, the Gawler Music Festival, and the Gawler Fringe Festival.
