Deception Bay is a suburb of the Moreton Bay Region in Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 30km north of Brisbane, the state capital. The suburb is bounded to the north by Burpengary, to the east by Rothwell, to the south by Redcliffe and to the west by the Moreton Bay. The suburb is home to a number of parks, reserves and recreational facilities, including the Deception Bay Foreshore Park, Deception Bay Aquatic Centre and the Deception Bay Golf Course. The suburb also has a number of schools, including Deception Bay State School, Deception Bay State High School and Deception Bay Special School. The suburb is also home to a number of shopping centres, including the Deception Bay Shopping Centre and the Deception Bay Village Shopping Centre.
