Brunswick West is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 8 km north of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Moreland. At the 2016 Census, Brunswick West had a population of 8,945.
Brunswick West is bounded by the Moonee Ponds Creek in the north, the CityLink freeway in the east, the Upfield railway line in the south and the Moonee Ponds Creek and the Moonee Valley Racecourse in the west.
The suburb is predominantly residential, with some light industrial areas in the south. The main shopping strip is located on Melville Road, near the intersection with Grantham Street. The suburb is served by the Upfield railway line, with two stations located in the suburb: Jewell station and Brunswick West station.
The suburb is home to a number of parks and reserves, including the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, which runs along the northern boundary of the suburb. The trail is popular with cyclists and walkers, and is part of the larger Capital City Trail network. Other parks in the suburb include the Brunswick West Recreation Reserve, the Brunswick West Community Garden, and the Brunswick West Wetlands.
