Armidale is a city in the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the administrative centre for the Northern Tablelands region. The city is located approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane at the junction of the New England Highway and Waterfall Way. Armidale had an estimated population of 24,817 as of June 2018. It is the second most populated inland city in New South Wales, after Wagga Wagga.

Armidale is a major regional centre for education, with campuses of the University of New England, the New England Institute of TAFE, and several private schools. It is also a major regional centre for the arts, with a number of galleries, museums, and performing arts venues. The city is also home to several historic buildings, including the Armidale Courthouse and the Armidale War Memorial.

The city is surrounded by several national parks, including the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, the New England National Park, and the Guy Fawkes River National Park. The city is also home to several wineries, including the Armidale Winery and the New England Winery.

Armidale is a popular tourist destination, with a range of attractions and activities for visitors
